Watch: World Cup journalist tells off man who tries to kiss her while on air
A Brazilian TV journalist reporting on the World Cup has received praise on social media after she sternly told off a man who tried to kiss her cheek while on the air.
J?lia Guimar?es was reporting from outside the Ekaterinburg Arena on Sunday when a man leaned in and tried to plant a kiss on her cheek. She deftly dodged the attempt and then angrily told the man, who vanished off camera, that he had no right to do so.
"Don't do that! Never do that!" she told the man as she gesticulated with her microphone. The man can be heard meekly apologising, but Ms Guimar?es was not having it. "You have no right to do that, that's not polite. Never do that to a woman, OK" Show some respect," she continued. Ms Guimar?es later wrote on Twitter that it was the second time she had to fight off an unwanted advance during the World Cuo. "It's hard to find the words," she wrote. "Sad! Shameful!"
