Taxi in Malta

If you need to take a taxi in Malta, you have a number of options. The best one based on experience (and price) is Taxify. But not far behind is also eCabs. I've only had good experiences with both of the companies. Once, when I had ordered a taxi (eCabs) for 6am to go to the airport, I actually managed to sleep in for half an hour - when I went outside 30 minutes later, the cab was still there. I'd say that's one hell of a service!

Taxi prices start at around EUR 5 a trip for short few-minute rides, what you get for that depends on which company you use. In case of Taxify it's around EUR 4 base fare plus EUR 1/km. Ecabs has fixed prices from one area/city to another, you can check the exact prices from their website.

Something you might want to skip are the white cabs - although they are the only ones you can actually stop on the street. Taxify and eCabs need to be ordered using their apps.
