Top speakers to lecture on ADHD
Four international speakers will be in Malta next week to lecture on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The event will be held in the Babylon Suite of the Cavalieri Art Hotel, St Julian's, on Saturday, from 2 to 6 pm.
Professor Susan J. Young is a clinical and forensic psychologist and practising neuropsychologist. She has worked for over 20 years in clinical academia, including at the Imperial College, London. She will speak on '"Consequences of untreated ADHD'.
Philip Asherson is professor of molecular psychiatry at the MRC Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry (SGDP) Research Centre at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London.
He will speak on '"Mind wandering: a new perspective on attentional problems in ADHD'.
J.J. Sandra Kooij is a psychiatrist specialising in ADHD in adults for over 20 years. She works as an associate professor of psychiatry at the Free University in Amsterdam and is head of the Dutch Expertise Centre, Adult ADHD, at PsyQ psychomedical programmes in The Hague, The Netherlands.
She will speak on '"Is ADHD a circadian rhythm disorder" About ADHD, late sleep, mood and health'.
