Monumental moments to be captured through competition




Malta's monuments and splendid cultural heritage take centre stage this month when the third edition of the Wiki Loves Monuments photo competition gets under way.

Whether you consider yourself a budding photographer or if you would simply like to share your holiday snaps with the world, Wiki Loves Monuments is open to professional and amateur photographers alike.
Entrants are invited to take pictures of cultural heritage monuments, buildings and sites and up-load them to Wikimedia Commons until the end of the month.
This is a great opportunity for photographers to contribute to the world's knowledge and the preservation of?Malta's cultural and historical heritage, while having their photos featured on Wikipedia.
Everybody can take part in Wiki Loves Monuments.
There is no minimum age to take part and no entry fee. There are, however, a few rules.
For submissions to be eligible for the competition the photos must be taken and uploaded by the same person; uploaded to Wikimedia Commons this month; freely licensed through a?Creative Commons licence and must not contain any watermarks or other text overlay.
